Shirley Saia

January 27, 2020

Shirley Saia, Finance Manager at Hospice of Southern Illinois, assists in ensuring we are good stewards of our dollars. Shirley joined our team in 2015. First, we not only gained a wonderful individual, but also a knowledgable financial leader. As a not-for-profit, free standing hospice, we always want to ensure our mission is in the forefront. Our patients are the core of everything we do. Even though Shirley doesn’t work in patient care, her hospice heart is strong. “I believe that everyone’s end-of-life journey should be respected and treated with dignity. Hospice of Southern Illinois’ services make that possible.”

We are proud of our financial health at Hospice of Southern Illinois. Preparing important financial documents, developing finanical reports, and managing financial activities to make sure we continue our mission to serve patients and their families are all part of her duties. We appreciate her attention to detail, team-oriented work ethic, and strong ethical values. Shirley’s dedication to this organization, paired with her financial knowledge, aids in Hospice of Southern Illinois’ financial strength and growth.

Shirley Saia enjoys being surrounded by her family and friends. Further, the library is one of her favorite places to escape to! Her favorite quote: “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless,” Mother Teresa. Shirley loves interacting with people and is a valued part of our team and mission. Thank you, Shirley Saia, for your service to our organization!
