Joann “Jo” Tanner
The words of Robin Roberts, “You have to change the way you think, in order to change the way you feel,” has served as our very own Joann Tanner’s favorite quotes and source of motivation every day. Joann is Hospice of Southern Illinois’ Team Clerk in Clinical Services in the Marion Office. She has held many roles, but really thrives in being a front-line employee. Her cheerful attitude, charisma, and warm personality make Jo, our go-to-inside-gal and a friendly face we can count on for all things (data records, clinical routes, clinical support, customer service and more)! This July will mark her 4th year with our company. “I think hospice care is one of the most ultimate gifts we can give patients at the end of their life’s journey. I like being a part of bringing comfort and support to both patients and their families when they need it most. It is an honor to be a part of a super team!” Joann’s favorite part about her job is being the first impression of Hospice of Southern Illinois to patients, families, physicians, and facilities, etc. Hospice of Southern Illinois could not be more thrilled to have her be that very first imprint.

Joann lives like a true southern Illinois resident and loves to spend her time outside. “I love spending time with my family and friends. I am able to do that by participating and volunteering in our Jeep Poker Run. It is a great day touring southern Illinois in a jeep with the top down, sun shining, music playing, and memories being made.” We would like to thank you, Joann, for all you do for our company, and those we support and care for! You truly are an important member of our team.
