Next year Hospice of Southern Illinois will be celebrating our 35th anniversary of providing service to our community. We are proud to have helped make a difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones over the last few decades, and we look forward to the next 35 years of helping people in our community who need hospice care.
Several significant shifts in the healthcare sector made continued operation of our Hospice Home Relais Bonne Eau impossible, and earlier this year we made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Hospice Home. The facility’s last day of operation will be November 6, 2015.
Hospice of Southern Illinois is in a strong position to move forward with carrying out our mission. Our foundation is solid, our future is bright. We will serve approximately 2,700 patients in 2015, and we expect to see an increase in that number next year. Hospice of Southern Illinois isn’t going anywhere – our community can continue to rely on us, just as it has since 1981.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
President and CEO
