Christine asks, “How did I get so lucky?” But the real question is, how did we get so lucky?
Starting her journey in 2007, Christine came on board as a Community Education intern. Looking to gain experience and expand her strengths, while encompassing her values and goals, and eventually settling into her current role as Public Relations & Communications Specialist. In her role, Christine successfully creates engaging and educational content and materials to spread our message in a professional, yet inviting manner.
Christine’s favorite quote happens to be, “the only thing you sometimes have control over is your perspective. You don’t have control over your situation, but you have a choice about how you view it.” Expanding on that, she says “we plan everything in our lives, so we should have conversations about end-of-life wishes.”
She thoroughly enjoys both hearing about and sharing how Hospice of Southern Illinois has helped families in improving the quality of life for their loved ones; stating that she loves promoting how our organization adds value to other’s lives.
When she’s not busy creating content and enhancing our mission, she’s enjoying supporting our local businesses. Her community support doesn’t stop there, as she frequents Hannah’s Playground. Another local spot from a family who lost their child, committed to ensuring their child’s legacy lives on.
We cannot express enough the warmth and positivity Christine brings to us here at Hospice of Southern Illinois. We are incredibly grateful to have her on our team.
